The Donor Forum is an international convening and exchange between donors and community organizers in the climate and social justice movements. Its goal is:

• Building and deepening relationships
• Learning about community organizing in its diversity
• Having honest and strategic conversations on how to support and develop the community organizing movement in Europe

The forum enables participants to learn from past experience, identify challenges, needs and priorities, and develop joint strategic approaches between donors and organizers. 

The Donor forum is for those who would like to learn more about organizing and funding practices in Europe and how to be ambassadors for supporting organizing in their organizations, communities, and sectors.

As a concrete result of the Donor Forum, in the spring of 2019, ECON–together with its partner the Ariadne Network of human rights funders–released a study called Making a Way Forward: Community Organizing and the Future of Democracy in Europe. The study interviewed funders already working in the community organizing space, shared case studies of the impact community organizing can have, and made a set of concrete recommendations aimed at supporting a more robust community organizing sector in Europe.
