INFORMATION ON PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING

This Information on Personal Data Processing contains information on the processing of personal data of visitors to the website of the ECON WEBSITE (hereinafter referred to as theWebsite), who use any of the services offered by the ECON via the Website. Your personal data is processed in accordance with all generally binding legal regulations valid in the Slovak Republic, in particular, but not exclusively, in accordance with the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, which repeals Directive 95/46/EC (the general data protection regulation) (hereinafter referred to as the “the Regulation”) and Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data (hereinafter referred to as the Data Protection Act).

We use the personal information you provide to us solely to provide you, upon your request, with any of the services or information offered through the Website, as well as to improve the provision of these services and information to you. By asking us to provide some of these services or information through completing the data in one of the forms posted on the Website you indicate that you understand how your personal data is being processed under this Personal Data Processing Information. Please note, however, that in some cases the non-disclosure of your personal information may partially or completely prevent us from providing the service or the information we offer through the Website.

We use your personal information to inform you about news and current events related to ECON. You have the option of subscribing to a newsletter through which we will solely, based on the expression of your consent, send information that may be of interest to you. The processing of your personal data for this purpose is based on your consent as the person concerned (Article 6 (1) (a) of the Regulation).

We use your personal information so you have the option to be in contact with us and to answer your questions in case you contact us using the contact form posted on the Website. The processing of your personal data for this purpose is based on the legitimate interest of ECON (Article 6 (1) (f) of the Regulation).

  • PERSONAL DATA RETENTION PERIOD

You consent to the processing of your personal data for a period of 10 years from the date of its provision. We keep the other personal data obtained through the Website for a maximum of 10 years from the date of their provision.

We may provide some of your personal information to entities that are providers of services to ECON. We strictly require all service providers to thoroughly protect their privacy and not use your personal information for their own marketing purposes unless you provide your consent to them. We only share the personal data our service providers need in order to provide services. These are entities that provide ECON with the following services:

  • technology services (e.g. IT terminal management, IT management, server infrastructure management, web hosting)
  • companies that provide direct marketing and send electronic communications, including our organization newsletters.

  1. If you have consented to the processing of personal data, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You may withdraw your consent by written notice sent by post or electronically to the address given in Part II. You have the right to change your decision to receive the newsletter at any time and also to revoke your consent to process your personal data by clicking the “Subscription” link found in each newsletter email. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the legality of the processing based on consent prior to its withdrawal.
  2. You have the right to object to the processing of personal data under Art. 21 of the Regulation.
  3. You have the right to request access to your personal data within the scope of Art. 15 of the Regulation.
  4. You have the right to correct the personal data provided under Art. 16 of the GDPR.
  5. You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data under Art. 17 of the GDPR.
  6. You have the right to request restrictions on the processing of your personal data under Art. 18 of the GDPR.
  7. You have the right to transfer your personal data to another operator under Art. 20 of the GDPR, that is you can submit a request to us to forward your personal data to another operator.
  8. You have the right to file a complaint against us as the operator of your personal data with the supervisory authority, which is the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic.

The request of the person concerned may be declined in cases permitted or provided for by law.

We may sometimes change or amend this Personal Data Processing Information. Such change or amendment does not in any way affect your rights under the respective generally binding laws on personal data protection without your express consent.
