What if the key to transforming our response to the climate crisis isn’t just better technology, but a deeper commitment to social and economic justice?
The “Green Transition” without an intersectional lens can reinforce systemic disparities, as risks and benefits are currently distributed unevenly. From energy poverty in working-class neighborhoods to the disproportionate impact of pollution on marginalized communities, the climate crisis is deeply linked to social and economic inequality.
Join us for a 90-minute workshop that centers the voices and experiences of those often sidelined in the mainstream climate movement. We will dive deep into intersectionality, examining how race, class, and ethnicity shape our climate reality, and how we can use community organizing to build a more just transition.
