ECON Membership

If your organization  or group is interested in becoming a member of ECON please follow the steps below:

Types of ECON membership and fees

  • Individuals and informal groups (20 euros per year)
  • Organisations – Associate membership (75 euros per year)
  • Organisations – Full membership (150 euros per year) – (has the right to vote in decisions)

How to become ECON  member

  • Pay the membership fees
  • Wait for a confirmation from ECON (The ECON board of directors will review and approve individuals, informal groups and associate members. The ECON General Assembly will approve full members)

Before submitting the form, please review the information below to verify you meet the membership criteria.

Membership criteria

  • Being individuals or organisations that self-identify as European
  • Being a community organiser or having a focus on community organizing projects.
  • Submitting a complete membership application form according to membership type.
  • Agree with ECON’s vision, mission, values, objectives and internal rules and procedures
  • Confirm their ability to engage in ECON in English as a working language.
  • Paying annual membership fee based on membership type (see membership fees)
  • Participate actively in ECON’s network

Membership commitments

  • Paying ECON’s annual membership fee in due time
  • Participate actively in ECON’s network (e.g. joining the yearly General Assembly)
  • Respecting ECON vision, mission, values and rules
  • Get written approval for using ECON visual identity

Rights of ECON members (***All members, **Associate & Full members, *Only Full members)

  • Be informed about activities, projects, initiatives of ECON***
  • Participate in ECON activities, meetings and events for individual members.***
  • Use ECON’s visual identity prior written approval by ECON’s Secretariat for relevant activities or projects in the best interest of the network ***
  • Be nominated to be elected in ECON’s board. ***
  • Initiate and join national and international projects that could involve ECON and ECON members. **
  • Be invited to the ECON General Assembly***
  • Representatives can run or nominate persons to be elected in ECON’s board. **
  • Participate in decision making and vote in the ECON General Assembly. *
  • Vote, nominate persons, elect and to be elected on ECON board *
